Disable touchpad

Hi. My laptop's touchpad works fine, but I want it to disable when I plug in a USB mouse. There must be a button for this -- I've tried everything in Control Panel/Hardware/Mouse and no luck. Thanks.

Some touchpad software has a feature you can enable to do this automatically.

Failing that, you can just go disable the touchpad in the Device Manager.

Hi. It should be in Control Panel/ Mouse. Click it and go to device settings and the disable setting should be there
