Have a question bout Intel graphics and the 6570

Have a ASUS P8H61-I mini itx mobo and an Intel i3 2120 along with a 6570 2gb vid card im building into a unique HTPC. However, not gtting a signal from the vid card, even tried a 430 GT as well and no signal from that either. I set it to iGPU/PEG in BIOS and still not working but itll work if I plug into the HDMI out on the motherboard. Been awhile admittedly since I build an Intel based machine, at least 10 years or so. BUt im guessing im missing something maybe. Anyone have any ideas? It isnt a PSU issue its a very low power consumption build and its using a quality 400w PS (Antec). Havent asked for help here before but this has me stumped. Thanx in advance if anyone can help.

if you sent it to detect the integrated graphics card, make sure your plugging it into the right one

Well of course. Plugged into the vid card HDMI out it has no display, plugged into the iGPU it displays fine. 2 cards have been tested on this mobo and also same 2 cards tested in another mini itx build with an 80w PSU and both work great. So im kinda lost. If you are gonna suggest level 1 tech support call answers, think harder Thanx for trying to help tho.

Set it to PEG first, of course. =)

Do u have a dog or cat or a ...?

Check the HDMI cable.



Did u tried the VGA and /or DVI?

It could be the LCD or the CPU.

I would look at the CPU for any imperfections, if the cable or LCD is a OK : )

What RAM is it?

Any light on the mobo?

Can u reset the BIOS?
Reset the CMOS memory the right way as is described in the motherboard manual using the clear CMOS link with the power cord unplugged.

CMOS battery may be low on power.
I would replace the battery ... 2032CR model

All of those suggestions are non-starters. If the monitor works with the integrated graphics, it can't be broken, can it? The same goes for all your other ideas.

Nah I power the 6570 in my E-350 mini itx build with an 80 watt power supply. Also the 430 works on it now, but the 6570 doesnt. But the 6570 works on 3 other PCs. Weird. Im at a loss.

Its a bios issues. Set display to PEG.

Its set to iGPU/PEG. Also the 430 displays on this and 3 other PCs in the house. THe 6570 displays on 3 of the PCs but not the one it was intended for, the P8H61-I Im stumped.

If one says 'Enabled If No Ext PEG' use that.

Well it wasnt working, the 430 or the 6570. Now thw 430 is working but the 6570 isnt. Its an odd situation. 6570 wqorks in 3 other PCs cept the one t was bought for.
