Greetings!

I have recently upgraded some stuff in my pc. I have a Coolermaster 550w Xtreme Power Plus which has been giving me nightmares because my pc restarts when gaming and stuff (no overheat) due to the lack of power of this shitty psu making me lower the processor 58% useable, now i will get a Corsair hx 850 in a few days i think. I bought a Forza 1000w UPS and i made some tests, also a friend told me i could use the UPS to use the maximum processor and gpu power, now i wanted to ask you what is the worst thing that can happen if i push this psu even with a UPS?

System:

Motherboard: Intel DH67BL
Processor: Intel Core i5 2300 @ 2.80 ghz (1.43 ghz lowered)
RAM: Kingston ValueRam 4gb ddr3 x2
GPU: ASUS ENGTX460 DirectCU 1GB GDDR5
PSU: CoolerMaster eXtreme Power Plus "550w" (soon to be dumped)
UPS: FORZA SL-1001VL
Screen: LG Flatron W2243

Any advice will be appreciated.

Thank you.

How come you can use UPS to power your hardware, UPS stands for Uninterrupted Power Supply which means in case of power lose it gives backup to you PC, so that you can shut it down. There is equal supply of power in amperes from socket and 100W UPS means a UPS which can give backup to the PC which requires 1000W incl. of monitor and speakers.

UPS also has built in surge strip and other electrical protection abilities from blackouts and brownouts. I think you are safer with a UPS, but hx 850 is good quality PSU so I know think you have anything to worry about. Don't understand what "a friend told me i could use the UPS to use the maximum processor and gpu power" means, but if you are suggesting that you can use your UPS (like a PSU) as a power supply then I think your friend is wrong. So if you push your PSU to where it blacks out again (max out), no you cannot use your PSU to prevent that.
