I need to make sure I've plugged my drives into the correct place on the mobo.

I have this Gigabyte Z68 mobo

This burner drive
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E168...

And this hard drive
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E168...

Currently I've connected it like this:

Harddrive SATA 3.0Gb/s - mobo SATA3-0

Burner SATA - mobo SATA3-1

I don't really understand the difference amongst the various SATA connections on the mobo. It has:

SATA3-0/1

SATA2-2/3/4

GSATA-5/6

That will be fine. SATA ports make things a lot easier for us all - you can really plug those two drives in wherever you'd like. It's mostly just if you have an expensive SSD that needs a SATA3 port that you'll have to be a bit picky.
