hello, this is my first time building a pc, so I'm a little unsure of the validity of my parts. any advice would be very much appreciated.

Approximate Purchase Date: the sooner the better I suppose, although I was thinking of waiting for back to school sales to begin to save some money.

Budget Range: 600-800 CAD

System Usage from Most to Least Important: gaming, browsing, storage

Parts Not Required: keyboard, mouse, speakers, monitor, OS

Preferred Website(s) for Parts: newegg.ca and directcanada.com

Country of Origin: Canada

Parts Preferences: I really don't have any loyalties or preferences

Overclocking: Nope

SLI or Crossfire: Nope

Additional Comments: I'd just like something that is easy to install, and will last me a decent while before upgrading. it should be able to run most modern games on a mid to high level

these are the parts I have picked out so far. advice?

That will all work fine , and I know you said you wanted it to last without upgrading , but there might be a better way .

AMD will release Bulldozer processors some time later this year that should perform a good bit better than Phenom . Consider buying one of the 990 series chipset motherboards .
Even using a board like
GIGABYTE GA-880GMA-USB3 AM3+ AMD 880G HDMI SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 Micro ATX AMD Motherboard with the black socket will let you upgrade .

Its an M-atx board but unless you have 5 pci-e cards you want to add in then it doesnt matter.
If you must go ATX then

ASUS M5A88-V EVO AM3+ AMD 880G HDMI SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 ATX AMD Motherboard
is $129
