New build will not power up:(

Just built my first system with a 6850/965 combo and I started it up, but no display. Already tried 2 VGA monitors using the DVI-VGA adapter included with the graphics card. Also tried plugging up from the 6850 to my HDTV with the HDMI port, still nothing. Even tried reseating the 6850. I'm out of ideas. Please help.

Did you connect the video card with the PSU using both the 8pin and 6pin connectors?

did you get a POST beep?

did you follow the procedure in the troubleshooting advice thread thats stuck to the top of the mb?
