T5750 vs T9300

Hey guys,

I've been looking at upgrading my laptop and the best CPU I can put in it is a T9300 which is a Core 2 Duo @ 2.50 GHz and 6M of cache.

I'm currently running a T5750 which is a 2.0 GHz chip with 2MB of cache.

I can get the T9300 for around $100 on eBay. Do you guys think that's worth the price? or would the upgrade not be that significant.

I recently put in an SSD drive and I have 3GB of average speed DDR2 RAM.

I've got some video editing and music processing projects coming up so I'm wondering if the $100 will be worth it.

I suggest upgrading to 4GB of RAM. You may want to get a slightly slower than that CPU because slightly slower older CPUs can be much cheaper.

Also a core 2 duo E8435 can be much faster and cheaper if it is compatible.

You should try out what ever you want to do with what you have now to find out if it's enough.
