My new evga 570gtx cracked open !!!

why did it happen? it is completely crackes up and copper visible inside.

can i rma it.

new build p8p67 with corsair power supply 850. haf x case

what can i do with next one? did i put too much power into it? I did connect into both power insertion sites on top.

rma is out of the question right? but i did nothing wrong..

RMA the card and see what happens. So long as the card hasnt been Physically damaged and it just blew up, you should be fine. I would really like to see pictures of this...

I've already heard of this happening on the 590's. I think there is going to be serious problems with them.

can i get a 590 and sli with 570? does it have to be same make model?

You can only SLI the same model card.

the chip has likely toasted itself as a result.

Was like a bomb or did it just fall apart? If it only fell apart then they really screwed up and didn't fully assemble the card but if it was a boom then you are the first

was this my fault. Damn mb may be fried. now i have to go get another same card and rma it. oh well will have sli now. damn evga with its tricks to make me buy 2 cards!

Unless you did something to it that you aren't telling us, no, it's not your fault. That will never happen to a card under normal operation, regardless of power supply or cooling.

the heatsink fell off. probably wasnt secured properly from the factory. RMA it or see if you can screw it back on properly.
