I am building a house and want to run cat5e cable throughout it. Does anyone know of a good place to buy bulk cat5e cable for cheap? Is there a difference in the brands? Also the connectors and face plates etc. etc.? Anyone else have any suggestions on doing this?

If you're in the US or Canada, try Home-Depot... I'm sure they have Cat 5... not sure about 5e/5E though...

Price-wise you'd probably be better off getting the cable/connectors online... like from cdw.com. You can also try contacting a local alarm/low voltage wiring company... they might be able to sell their stock to you directly?
