Hi,
i recently bought an Asus M5A78L-M/USB3 motherboard with an AMD FX 4100 GHz Processor, so far i have only installed: the motherboard, RAM, the processor and the psu.

I went to update the bios, ready for when i have a hard drive and an OS, but when i went to use the EZ flash 2 tool, it prompted me with a "ROM ID in the file is incompatible with existing BIOS" message.

In order for the CPU to work, i need the latest update (0603)

Can anybody help me to update my bios?

Thanks, Matt

i maybe a little late, but make sure you have the correct bios! i fell into that trap. flashed the bios the good old fashion way and toldf me politely that it didnt support my cpu. Make sure you download the /usb3 one and not the normal one as there are 2 and they are not the same.

modded the new bios and that was updated with the inbuilt ezupdate thingy.
