hi people, i have an ATI 4890 1gb vapour-x right now on a i5 processor and way too much RAM. i was curious as to wether any upgrade maybe into the 5 series+ (e.g.5870)could be made on a budget of within £220 that would take advantage of the system a bit more. the 4890 is a nice powerful card but it doesn't utilize the new dx11 and i'm not even sure dx10.1. i play mainly total war games and would love to max out SHOGUN 2 at 1080p! i feel its the GPU letting me down at this stage. cheers boys

A 5850 or better will be a nice upgrade just don't bother with Fermi cards or the bricks in the waiting on your side of the isle like the 6990.

Get 6950 and flash it to 6970 and you should see desired results.

Don't count on it, not every one has been lucky enough to have it work.

Most of them work say 90%.
Although 6950 too is a good choice.

I would'nt bother with a 4xxx. You want to be playing with Dx11 tech!

Go for a 6950 or 6970 if you have the cash.
