How to fix scrambled screen at windows log-in

Each time i turn on the computer the screen scrambles when windows start. BIOS and all the other boot screens are ok but when windows xp has boot, it get distorted. I only know its running cause i see recognize the colour of the desk top and hear the start-up sound.

Either bad RAM [which I doubt; you'd have a Blue Screen by now...] or bad GPU RAM [much more likely]. Do you have another GPU to test with?
