Athlon 64 x2 and compatible motherboards

I have a AMD Athlon 64 X2 - 4800 CPU and trying to find a motherboard for it? Can you help? This is an old piece of hardware and am sure the MoBo will be old also.

There are two such chips. One fits the socket 939, the other AM2. Do you know which you have? The first one will use DDR1 ram, while the other uses DDR2.

It is a Socket 939 and will take DDR memory.

939 boards are hard to find. Your best bet is second hand like ebay or used forums. Might want to try geeks.com, they tend to have older stuff as well.

Thanks for the help, ends up the AMD Athlon 64 X2 4800+ 1MB Socket AM2 Dual Core CPU will not run in a Socket 939 but in a AM2 MoBo. Jokes on me! Now I will have to build another system!
