Can intel e4500 processors supoort 4gb ram

Go to the Intel website and search your CPU name (E4500) and some links should pop up. at least one (probably the first one) will have your processor specifications.

Without checking myself I can say it probably supports 8GB of RAM, if not even more.

The amount of RAM supported by that CPU is determined by the motherboard. A motherboard that can support that chip will almost always support at least 8 GB of RAM, with many supporting 16 GB and some supporting 32 GB if they use DDR3.

and the full 4gb wont be useable unless you have a 64bit operating system--probably about 3.25gb on 32bit

The Intel® Core™ 2 Duo E4500 is a 64bit processor so yes it will support 4GB of memory. Now the motherboard and the OS both need to be able to support that amount of memory for it to be usable on your system.

Looking through all the chipset that are supported with this processor (except the nVidia) and at least the chipset will 4GB, that maybe change based on the motherboard manufacturer. If you let us know some more information on your system we maybe able to answer these questions.

Well i got my answer that my motherboard doesn't support 4gb of ram ........./.. and i was thinking about my processor......../. well thanku all for the answer
