I'm starting to lose my mind here, a little bit. I've searched through dozens of forums and tried all kinds of things, but maybe I'm not looking at the problem in the right way.

So I just built this computer,

MSI P67A-C43 (B3) LGA 1155 Intel P67 SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 ATX Intel Motherboard

Intel Core i5-2500K Sandy Bridge 3.3GHz (3.7GHz Turbo Boost) LGA 1155 95W Quad-Core Desktop Processor BX80623I52500K

Antec EarthWatts EA-650 GREEN 650W ATX12V v2.3 SLI Ready CrossFire Certified 80 PLUS BRONZE Certified Active PFC Power Supply

G.SKILL Ripjaws X Series 4GB (2 x 2GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1600 (PC3 12800) Desktop Memory Model F3-12800CL8D-4GBXM

SAPPHIRE 100315L Radeon HD 6850 1GB 256-bit GDDR5 PCI Express 2.1 x16 HDCP Ready CrossFireX Support Video Card with Eyefinity

Seagate Barracuda ST31000524AS 1TB 7200 RPM SATA 6.0Gb/s 3.5" Internal Hard Drive -Bare Drive

And I've been trying to get Windows 7 64bit to install. Right now the problem is I can't get past the startup screen with the 4 colored lights spinning animation. I've also tried a Windows XP 32bit, but no luck. There was also a disc with drivers that came with the MSI board but that doesn't seem to load either (Winki doesn't like my setup either I guess).

Something that I just noticed, however, is that the startup goes fine if the hard drive is not plugged in, to the SATA connection at least, but since I can't install then this doesn't really help me.

Finally, I've tried with a single stick of memory, the other stick of memory, in every slot available. I've removed and reseated all the connections on the board. In the ClickBios I've tried disabling other boot options (floppy, network).

Where do I go from here?
