i5-2400 @ $190

vs

i5-2500k @ $225

Not a big deal, i'll probably go with the later since I would prefer the HD3000 onboard graphics vs the HD2000. I will want to play Starcraft 2 until I save up enough for a nice card for Battlefield 3 / Diablo 3

Really just looking to find the right motherboard to go with it.

These are the two highest reviewed on newegg for my price bracket:

ASRock P67 EXTREME4 (B3) LGA 1155 Intel P67 SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 ATX Intel Motherboard @ $160

GIGABYTE GA-Z68X-UD3P-B3 LGA 1155 Intel Z68 SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 ATX Intel Motherboard @ $170

I first was looking at getting this combo first...

http://www.newegg.com/Product/ComboDealDetails.aspx?ItemList=Combo.654392&nm_mc=AFC-C8Junction&cm_mmc=AFC-C8Junction-_-RSSDailyDeals-_-na-_-na&AID=10521304&PID=3463938&SID=

BUT decided if I was going to wait it out on a video card, I might as well just put a few extra bucks on the MOBO / CPU and get some good on board graphics in the mean time?

Solution
you are going to need the z68 motherboard if you want to use the integrated graphics. The IGP is simply not supported on the P67 Chipset!!!

Therefore your options are H67 for no overclocking and Z68 for overclocking!

Okay so I'm going to get a Z68 board, but is there any particular ones that I should look for? I see some gigabyte z68's and some asus z68's ranging from 120-220... Any "best bang for buck" in particular?

Looks Like I will be working with (finally, after much deliberation..)

Any suggestions on a Z68 board? I don't mind spending extra money if it's worth it in the long run.

Remember that I will be using the onboard graphics HD-3000 for a couple months until I can get 250+ for a good video card.

right on-- was eyeing that board already in a package deal. I'm about to hit order, so freakin excited. You've been a great help throughout my threads striker. If I could give you a million best answers I would. Thanks a ton. I'll make a post eventually when I chronicle my build, and send you a link. Thanks again.
