Do I need an expensive soundcard
Sep 6, 2011, 6:28 PM
Hi all, it is I, Le Noobie, anyway, enough of that, just a quickie
If I am using a soundcard purely for pass through via Toshlink to a home cinema receiver, can it be any cheap oldcarp or will the price I pay still reflect in the sound quality ?

since it is only passing digital data, the quality should not be affected by the cheap D/A converter in many cheap cards.
