for the love of god, get 256 or 512. with the current ram prices, it shouldn't really be a problem. you're putting XP in pain by giving it only 128.

Hey Baby, I'll install YOUR RAM, if you boot my Hard drive!

I completely agree, with RAM so cheap, I would upgrade to 256MB or 512MB for Windows XP. You won't be sorry.

It will work with 128MB of RAM but it will be slow if you have a lot of apps running because the swap file on the hard drive will be frequently accessed.
I receommend using 256MB or more for quality performance.
Like the previous posters have said SDRAM is very inexpensive so upgrading isn't a pain in the wallet.

For XP, the more the better.

actually...for any windows...more is better
anyways...128 mb of ram isnt horribly bad (double negative)...it'll work (but not ultra fast)...but at least it'll work (on a mediocre level).

I don't claim to know anything about everything, I just tell people what I know.

woooh... XP runs very good! in 128mb it suitable for regular work, but when i add up all my apps, it begins to crawl *ram*, so then i added another 256mb. now it works hella smooth! mad fun!! :D

peace outz!!!

you could check on task manager to see if you're ram is getting gobbled up or not.
