<$1400 2500k gaming build

I have posted a few builds before asking for help. I am just about ready to buy the pc now and wanted to ask for one last look over with my new build.

Approximate Purchase Date: june 13th, 2 days from now

Budget Range: $1500 be MIR

System Usage from Most to Least Important: Gaming, Video editing, Surfing web, Movies

Parts Not Required: Keyboard, mouse, monitor, or any sound equipment

Preferred Website(s) for Parts: The best price for US

Country of Origin: US

Parts Preferences: Intel i5, not really picky

Overclocking: Yes, I plan to get my 2500k to about 4.5k (have question below about this)

SLI or Crossfire: Yes, 2 570's later on

Monitor Resolution: 1920x1080

Additional Comments: I have a few questions about the oc and power supply. will 850watt be enough for sli 570's and ocing cpu/gpu. Also will the scythe cpu fan + 4 120mm fans on the mesh side panel of the 600t be enough to cool it when ocing to about 4.5ish?

beware of that ram with the scythe mugen, they have very tall heatsinks and will most likely cause clearance issues. 850w is enough.

be aware that there is a double gpu combo for the 570's:

so you may just want to bite the bullet and buy them at the same time.

Yeah I saw the combo I'm debating it, would the G.skill snipers be a better choice for ram then?

It is def smaller so I dont see any reason not to swap if you have your heart set on using that particular cpu cooler. I'll be using Sniper set for that exact reason.

I have just heard good things about the cooler if there is a diff one with same/better performance let me know.

Check the Cooler Master Hyper 212+...dont know the demensions off the top of my head....I do know that it should fit in that case because I was looking at that case. Heard a lot of great things about that as well.

the hyper 212 is a great heatsink, but the mugen is cooler and quieter:

the hyper 212 can be had for $30 on amazon. i personally have the mugen and it fits over my ripjaws.
in either case, id just go with the sniper and not let pointless ram heatsinks affect your decision.

yeah I knew that the 212 wasn't as cool as the scythe, i'll probably change the ram.

I have not added your total up but I have a wish lish built at newegg with the EVGA GTX580, EVGA P67 SLI MOBO, Only 500GB HDD, i5 2500K, Ripjaw 8GB, Corsair 850 PSU, Samsung Blu Ray for $1,284 if your interested in that. I already have the Antec 900 Two v3 case...so that was not including the case and its $119

6970 cf gives better performance than 570 sli. a oc'd 6970 cf is on par with 580 sli.

also the 600t doesnt have that good airflow go with the nzxt phantom it is 120$ after a promo code

The 600t doesn't have enough airflow even with the 4 120mm side fans that i'm putting on the mesh screen?

your airflow will be better but overall that case is mostly for looks and not cooling put those fans towards the bigger and cheaper nzxt phantom and you will have amazing airflow
