Hello,
I have an Asus M4N98TD EVO motherboard with AMD Phenom II x4 965 ad Corsair Dominator memory 8-8-8-24. Been running fine for a couple of years. Suddenly won't boot to bios. MemOK light on or flashing. On occation it will boot but getting fewer and farther between. Any suggestions as to problem?

I built it myself, been building home grown boxes for decades. I've taken it apart and put back together thinking something got loose. There are 2 memory sticks. I've tried one at a time without success.

Oops, I think the memory sticks are pairs so probably shouldn't have done that. But was hoping to get some kind of memory error from bios. Nothing. Without memory sticks at least it gives me a beep error notice.

The CMOS battery may be low on power.
I would try to replace the battery ... 2032CR model

My suspicion is motherboard. Since memory and CPU are just silicon whats the likelyhood they would go bad after a couple of years. The motherboard has more things to go wrong. Am I right or wrong?
