Recommended PSU?

Okay so I've narrowed my future build down to 2 power supplies... I was wondering if you guys could help me pick. All opinions are taken and choises.
This one:
And this one.
My question in this case is, will these PSU's be enough for up to 2 AMD Radeon 6970's including standerd hardware like a fan control touch screen, cpu fan and cpu, etc. Will these be over kill and I could save some money buy buying a less powerful one? Which one of these 2 would you guys recommend? If you have any you think I SHOULD have, this is my first build so I'm a bit inexperienced. Thanks for any help Guys and Gals!

  1. You don't need over a 1000w to power your system with 2 6970's

Also there are better brands for the money. This 850w unit will do the job nicely and it will save you a few pennies

    Or one of these:
  2. Sweet, thanks a lot! Might go with the XFX being it'll match my Graphics card(s) and looks pretty cool. :)
  3. I recommend the Seasonic or PC Power and Cooling brands over the others. I'd read tech reviews on the specific model PSU you're considering before you buy as some test lousy and others test great - for about the same price.
