6870 crossfired with a 6850

Hello,
So i am getting a great deal on a 6870 (cheaper then any 6850 I could find) and i want to crossfire it with my current 6850. I know this will work, but what i want to know is when playing games like World of Warcraft that dont use/support crossfire when i disable the second card in the CCC settings will the 6870 work at its full capacity? I figured that when it is crossfired with a 6850 it would downclock itself. But when Crossfire is disabled it would work like a normal 6870?

So I guess picking up this card for the cheap price (130.00) is a good idea, since i can still get 6850 crossfire performance that i wanted but higher performance when crossfire is disabled. NICE.
