Problem: When i set computer to performance option in bios computer restarts multiple times, randomly turning off every 1 - 10 seconds before finally booting after 5-10 restarts.

If set option to normal computer restarts once before going back to normal.

I have tried with and without graphics card, seems to happen less often without graphics card installed.

Any help would be much appreciated.

This motherboard has MemOK which tries to optimize for memory speed. Check to see if the MemOK LED is on or flashing. This will cause power off power on repeatedly.

I'm having this EXACT same issue with my new build. Boots fine into normal or energy-saver, but as soon as I choose performance, it goes into the restart loop. Did you happen to fix this issue or find out the cause? Did you RMA the board?

Anyone with any ideas on the best way to diagnose this? Windows boots and runs fine from normal and energysaver.

I'm running memtest 4.20 and everything seems to be checking out ok.

UPDATE: Like the original poster, I removed my video card and its booting fine (have done about 10 cold boots without any looping). Does this point to the video card or the power supply?
