Computer running extremely slowly all of a sudden

I built this computer over the weekend (YAY) and it's been working amazingly since I have built it. However, today I used it and it was running extremely slowly. It would freeze up for about a minute when I only have Chrome and Spotify open, and neither are heavy memory users. I opened my task manager, which take a couple of minutes, and all the processes are fine, nothing is taking up to much space.

Here are my specs

Processor-i5 2500K (Not overclocked yet)

Video Card-ASUS GTX460 1 GB

RAM: G.SKILL Ripjaws 8GB

any conflicts in device manager?
install any programs before it started hanging?

I did a cold boot about three times and it finally worked
