If compared to onboard graphics I'd say about an 8.

Yes its enough to watch HD/Bluray movies.... barely.

now i have another question... 
if i install a discrete card..then how would IGP respond...???would it turn off or they both will work simultaneously......

The IGP should automatically be disabled.

If it does not, then you will have to go into the BIOS before Windows starts loading and manually turn it off.

What I meant was, it will work perfectly for HD. It's just that the built in graphics on newer Intel CPU's are one of many that is used just for those purposes.

If you plan on gaming on modern games, unless you have a low resolution, you are pretty much out of luck there with the Intel graphics.
