Seasonic 520 W PSU enough for my rig?

Seagate Barracuda 1TB 7200 RPM 32MB SATA Desktop Hard drive (ST31000524AS)

G.skill Ripjaws X 4GB (1 x 4GB) DDR3 1333MHz Desktop RAM (F3-10666CL9S-4GBXL)

Hp 24X Mulitiformat DVD Writer (1260i)

NZXT Gaurdian 921 RB ATX Cabinet

Intel Core i5-2500K 6MB 3.30GHz Processor

Asus P8P67 32GB DDR3 USB 3.0 Intel Motherboard (B3 Revision)

Sapphire Radeon HD6870 1GB ATI PCI E Graphic Card



I was worried about the PSU being able to power all these parts.

Help needed

The PSU will do fine. Seasonic is built by XFX (I think) and they make some of the best PSU's on the market. You can even overclock with ease with the PSU.

Yes a high quality 520w unit like the Seasonic S12II-520 would easily be able to power that build.

Why are you getting 1 x 4GB? If you do that, you won't get the benefit of DDR. I'd either get 2 x 2GB or 2 x 4GB.

And OP-- Yes more than enough.

Seasonic is the OEM for most of the high end power supplies most companies sell today such as Corsair, Antec, XFX and many select others. Their own PSU lines are fabulous and highly efficient and stable. Not many other companies can boast of having as many high quality units as seasonic.

Seasonic isn't really sold where I live (South Africa), so I don't know them that well. XFX comes out here a little in their graphics cards mostly, so that's where it all starting going astray. We know brands like Cooler Master, Antec, Corsair, Thermaltake, etc. All in all though, I think I gave good advice

The Corsair GS is better than the CX series. why not a seasonic 620W (S12II-620) or the modular version M12II-620, just to give you some room for upgrades and overclocking
