Just curious if someone can educate me, to what extent is a brownout dangerous? Like I am not sure if I am experiencing brownouts when say I turn on the AC or the Microwave and the lights seems to dim for a second or 2 before returning to normal. Is this damaging to the computer? Currently I have a surge protector in place but thinking about an AVR. If I get an AVR how would I connect that with a surge protector? I thought about a UPS but since my PSU is a true sine wave model, all the APC units are out of my budget and the ones from Cyberpower said it isn't legit and can cause damage to your hardware.
So if anyone can educate me, please let me know if those dips I am experiencing is damaging to my computer, for it happens when I turn on the AC, Microwave, Toaster, or Washing Machine all other home applications seems fine. Thank you!
