I have a mid-range gaming rig and i'd like to know if $400 or more is a fair price to sell it at.

Specs are:
Motherboard - GIGABYTE GA-G31M-ES2L LGA 775 Intel G31 Micro ATX Intel Motherboard

Processor - Intel Pentium Dual-core E2160 @ 2.8Ghz

Memory - 2GB 800Mhz DDR2 Memory

Video Card - SAPPHIRE Vapor-X Radeon HD 5750 1GB 128-bit GDDR5

PSU - RAIDMAX HYBRID 2 RX-530SS 530W ATX12V V2.2/ EPS12V SLI Ready CrossFire Ready Modular LED Power Supply

CD/DVD Burner/Player - ASUS 24X DVD Burner

HDD - 80GB IDE Hard Drive

CPU cooler - ZALMAN CNPS9500 AT 2 Ball CPU Cooling Fan/Heatsink

OS - Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit

So how much do you think i should try and sell it for?

You'd probably be better off parting the system out and selling to components individually. All together, I wouldn't offer more than $200 for that system and ONLY if it comes with the original Windows 7 Ultimate DVD. The system, as it is, might make an ok HTPC (without storage).

Im going to lean to Wolfshadw's side here. Parting the system out would be your best bet. There would be a very small market willing to buy an outdated system at any cost. The video card, CPU cooler, and the operating system (Install DVD that is) are most likely the only parts worthy of resale. To answer your question $400 is too much for the system, as much as we'd all like to be able to pawn off our outdated rigs.
