Hello everyone, after countless hours of research I have decided to get the 3570k. Before I was hell bent on getting an intel motherboard but now I'm open to any suggestions. Micro center currently has a processor+motherboard deal. (you get 50 off of the motherboard)
And get the RAM like this, unless u have already ....
I recommend CORSAIR Vengeance 99% of the time, quality RAM and low profile with XMP profile. And if u will get an aftermarket CPU cooler, low profile is the worry free remedy with perfect fit with any large cooler.
CORSAIR Vengeance 8GB (2 x 4GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1600 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E168...
Vengeance Low Profile heat spreaders have a reduced height of 1.03" (26.25mm). They're designed for high-performance systems with extra-large CPU coolers, small form factor system builds, or any other space-constrained application where standard Vengeance memory might not fit.
oh no i was thinking about the 2500k because of a future experiment and didn't want to buy another mobo. yea from that list I want to get the best bang for the buck. im still getting the 3570k with the discount on the motherboard.
nope, i will never overclock, have 10 video cards, 2000 displays, require 30 expansion slots, nothing like that. i would be fine with a matx board and probably even the i5 3450 but because of the great deal going on with micro center right now i could get better parts for like 30-40 bucks more.
