Memory suggestions

Hey everyone,
I'm creating my own computer for the first time and was still conflicted with picking the memory for it.

I'm trying to get memory from the supported list of my motherboard (http://www.asrock.com/mb/memory.asp?Model=Z77 Extreme4) and was thinking of going for the 1600's

Basically I have three questions, is 1600 the way to go, which manufacturer should i go with, and do i need 16 GB of ram or should i stick with 8GB?

If you have budget to buy 16gb, 1600mhz, then go for it. Ram price is very cheap now.

For brand go for G.skill, corsair, kingstone. They all do good.

Five sets that I'd consider are listed below. There's very little differences and the lower CAS 8-8-8-24 @ 1.50v might gain you a couple frames (at best) and help with some other computing over the Mushkin Model 996776 which is the best deal and 'matches' the block theme and is low profile for any HSF.
