Asus sabertooth x58 not booting

Hello,I am building computer first time and I got this problem,it's not booting.The monitor shows no signal and stays black.The monitor is working with other comp.The red led light by the GPU is solid.Everything else is OK. The fan on the graphic card is working,so it could be a motherboard problem? Does anybody know what could be the problem? Please HELP! Really need the solution!

Have you check to make sure you plugged in the cpu power plug. Try to re seat the gpu also.

I got the same problem. The red led means the graphic card is not booting. I know because my GTX 295 does the same thing, but if I replace it with a Radeon 4950 dual core I hear a swishing sound and the light goes out and there's video. The GTX 295 does the same thing only intermittently.
