CPU Fan Error

Well I just replaced my stock AMD cooler on my AMD 955 and im getting an CPU fan error. I replaced it with a Corsair A50 and I think I know the problem. The stock cooler was a 4 pin and the A50 is a 3 pin, and the CPU Fan label on the motherboard is under the 4 pin connector which the stock cooler was hooked up to. The fan is running and im getting the same temps I was getting on the stock cooler...

Hi.

The fan only have one way to fit, so, you have not way to do something wrong there. With that said, you need check your BIOS options for the fans and fan's warning.

Yea I checked my bios and its not showing up, but I know its working

Disable all fan warning alert and try again.

yea i disabled the part where it asks to press f1 to continue but i still get the extra beeps(annoying) and it hangs to tell me there is a CPU fan error

I could try to buy a 3 to 4 pin adapter if there is such thing, because i cant find one on ebay

Check that your cooler is properly installed and the fan is connected to the proper slot

yea there is only one 3 pin slot on my motherboard and it is connected to that and running i don't understand what could be wrong
