Hello,
I recently bought a Toshiba laptop to replace my older model. My older model had a 2ghz Intel Celeron Processor, 2gig RAM, and 250 HD Space; while my new one has a AMD c-50 1ghz, 3 gigs, and 350 HD Space. I just wanted to know if, despite only having 1ghz, my new laptop would out preform my old one. Or if I should return this new one and purchase one with the 2ghz celeron, 4gig RAM and 350 HD Space for $400. I do like to game on my laptop, if that alters your opinion on the matter.

Well the AMD C-50 will have a integrated 6250 GPU which is better than the Celeron d HD graphics, the CPU will present a bottleneck in some games.

I have noticed that the graphics are better then my old computer. Is there anything I can do to boost the CPU or at least lower the stuttering?

Choose the "For Best Performance" in Windows settings.

Ensure that all drivers are up to date.

Delete all the useless apps that clog Task Manager.

Run anti-malware soft, there might be CPU eating programs. :sol:

P.S. If you ever hear overclock, avoid it, for laptop no overclocking should be ever done.

Thank you all for the helpful answers. I'm gonna stick with the new PC and deal with the bottle necking as it shows up.
