Which quad kit of RAM should I get?

I'm a noob, and dont understand timings so which kit will preform better on a x79 system?

G.SKILL Ripjaws Z Series 16GB (4 x 4GB) 1600MHz 9-9-9-24

or

G.SKILL Ripjaws Z Series 16GB (4 x 4GB) 2133MHz 11-11-11-30

If the second one, is the performance difference enough to justify the $30 price difference

Yes I know you have to xmp the second one.

feel free to make any suggestions.

  1. Hi. You need to XMP the first one also, just so you know.
I would go with the first kit. The second kit isn't worth the extra money.
  2. Take 2133 over 1600

X79 systems take 1600MHz without xmp
  4. Faster ram speeds are not much worth it. Perhaps 1-2% real app performance.
