My Microsoft Wireless keyboard is typing the wrong characters

Hello,
My Microsoft Wireless keyboard is typing the wrong characters in a strange way for example if i press k = L is what i get if A - I get B and also vice versa , with some letter I get the previous one according to the alphabet eg R = Q ..The same problem with the numbers...1=2 ..6=5 .As for the other button except for Control , Shift and Alt all the others are messed up Page Up = Right Arrow ..the Down Arrow = Left Arrow ..it is totally frustrating, i wish that you can you help me

This is often resolved by pushing the button to "reconnect" the keybd to the receiver.

I was having the exact same problem (to the 'letter' - see what i did there? no but really ;P )
and THIS FIXED IT!!! HALLELUJAH PRAISE THIS FORUM!

It was driving me bat-poop crazy to have to deal with these transposed digits enough to troublshoot.
