Hi

Im looking to upgrade my PC
this is used for gaming and everyday use
and would like some advice

this is mainly what i want to get

i5 3570K £170
2x4gb Corsair DDR3 Vengeance Jet Black, PC3-12800 £40
128GB OCZ Vertex 4 £105
AMD 7850 £190

have PSU, case, DVD, OS, HDD and other bits and bobs

now i need a mobo
thinking of getting a low price Z77 for around £90
any recommendations?
not gonna overclock or crossfire
and dont need that many USB 3.0 or other connectors
any point of getting higher priced mobo?

remember reading a article about Z77 boards
and i can't remember if its asus or gigabyte boards
had a differant memory configuration or something which made their boards run alittle faster
which boards is it??

and the SSD
is the vertex 4 good? tomshardware does recommends the Samsung 830 for my price range
but always read good things from OCZ SSDs

so which 1 should i go for?

IF you're NOT going to OC then it really doesn't matter. I would look at the ASUS P8Z77-V or P8Z77-V LE. As far as the Vertex 4 it's fine, BUT right off the bat and before installing the OS make certain you have the latest firmware; the early Vertex 4 require a 'destructive' firmware update i.e. all contents of the SSD go poof (i.e. erased).

You could even go the H67 route e.g. ASUS P8H77-V - http://www.asus.com/Motherboards/Intel_Socket_1155/P8H77V/#specifications
