How do I see the networks in my neighborhood

Hello,
How do I review the various wi-fi networks in my neighborhood using my Windows 7 O/S and FireFox browser? My other laptop has Windows XP and I have no problem reviewing the area networks.

In the systray on the right of your screen and down at the bottom, you should be seeing an icon that invites you to the Network and Sharing Centre in Control Panel and then on to Manage Wireless Networks. From there, you can select a network to which you're allowed to connect - in other words you have the security key - and away you go.
