New Build Wireless Question???

Forum Systems : New Build New Build Wireless Question???

Word :    Username :

I use ethernet on my pc for reliability and stability. I am looking into getting a wireless-N adapter (preferably a card). I still want to be connected thru ethernet for internet, but can i also have my computer connected via WIFI so i can wirelessly access my computer thru iTunes, RDP Clients, etc. Will they both work at the same time? or are wireless cards not that much worse off compared to ethernet.

Also, I was thinking of getting:
ASUS PCE-N13 IEEE 802.11b/g/n PCI Express Wireless Adapter

any other suggestions?

THANKS A TON GUYS!

Jon

Not sure what you are asking Jon.... But let me outline some things.

Wired or wireless, you connect to the router.

With a wireless card, you will have the exact same connection capabilities available through ethernet, but more volatile.

And I assume you want to share your computer. Adding a wireless card will not accomplish this. You need to share your drive over your home network. I'm not going to explain how, but know you need to SHARE THE FILES. It's complicated, I know. But that Wifi card sounds like a waste for what you want it for.
