Ok, putting together a new i5 3570 setup with this motherboard. Have not got all pieces yet but have most some still in transit.

I bought this mobo and have it here already.

I purchased this Kingston memory already and have it here. This memory is on the QVL for my motherboard.

On a whim late last night I was messing around and saw this and purchased it. I noticed the only difference in the product code was the "A" I went to the Kingston web site and the A is a different revision. I also noticed this morning the 2nd small kit is not XMP either. The more I thought about it and was not so confident anymore that it would be smooth and seamless. Started thinking it was a dumb move :/

My question is , Will these work together on the above board or should I return it. It is a different revision and the smaller kit is not XMP. Those are the differences. Here is the Kingston page where they explain there number system. The page loads slow sometimes.

Nah I do not need it. LOL I just mistook it for the same and it was so little money. That's why I called it dumb :/ My standard answer is though, because you can. Just like why does someone climb a mountain. Because it's there. Why on earth would anyone need to build a car with 500 horse power ?? The speed limit is 55-65 and every car made will do that at stock. Memory is cheap and I likes to play around ;)

Amazing to see that and anybody that has to RMA a CPU to them and gets the response mentioned in the first link should point that out to them!

Hear is an update, I sent ASRock a support ticket that I filled out on there site for my Z77 Extreme 4 mobo I got from them. I asked about why the 1.65 volt ram on the QVL for the motherboard when Intel will deny CPU Warranty for running ram over 1,5 volt and out of spec yada yada yada.

I got a response in less than 24 hours. While they did not tell me why all this 1.65 volt memory was on the QVL this is what they said.

Roger

Please use 1.5 volt memory

Thank you

That was it

Anyway, that is what I will do.

Ok, came up with a brilliant idea :pt1cable:

Took the 8 gigs of Crucial 1.5 Volt DDR 3 1333 out of my AMD machine and popped in the Kingston and it seems perfectly happy, stable and fully recognized without bios tweaking of any kind.

Even better Im sure the 8 gigs of Crucial will work just fine in the Intel machine so I really do not need to buy any more memory.
