BF3 has been built to care for both poor and great system specs. It will run. It just depends on how well you want it to run.

keep your gpu for now

you can buy a socket 1155 motherboard for arround £80 (well 60-80_

i5 2500 costs £150
8gb ram £40

(Corsair CMZ8GX3M2A1600C9 8GB 1600MHz CL9 DDR3 Vengeance Memory Two Module Kit)

total cost £270

no point going for the i7 2600 its not worth the £236 at the moment,

you can allways swap the i5 2500 for the i7 at a later date if you wanted a little more speed

Your overall computer will be fine. I would upgrade your graphics card if you want to play anything other than medium and some high at 1080p. (i'm finally going to replace mine this black friday... 560ti for cheap? frys here we gooo).

Other than that, hold off a complete system upgrade till you get BF3.
