Should I update my bios Gigabyte GA-M68MT-S2

Hello, i am not sure if i should my bios as many people have said that it can brick your motherboard, but after having graphical issues with my current card i am considering the update the error it displays when playing most games and benchmarks is "DXGI_ERROR_device removed"

well it says the bios version is FB

OK, use CPU-Z to find out @ http://www.cpuid.com/softwares/cpu-z.html

it says that Version is FB again when i look at mainboard under brand

There are 2 versions - the difference is just, that the new one supports the AM3+
But they both are using a different BIOS.

That's why u need to know the version.

Its on the box, and on the mobo as well, so take a look.

BTW, the update utility is the same for both versions of the mobo.

That error of yours, is a video driver crash.

What version of the driver u use?

thanks for your help but i sorted it out it took a while but i just went to previous of catalyst control centre 11.9 as the other versions did'nt quite work for me but i can still play all the games that i could before so everything is fine
