Hello,
I'm building my new rig and using the following specs.

mobo- asus f1a75-v-evo
cpu- amd fusion a8 3870k
gpu- msi hd6670 1g ddr5

i'm choosing between 8g or 16g of the corsair vengeance ram. the value i not really the problem.
which one should i use for maximum performance.

If u will not edit video or doing any 3D or work with large databases and things like that, 8GB is fine.

I would say go for the 16GB, just because it is cheap, and it is always better to have more, than less.

Welcome to Tom's Forum! :)

No, 16GB isn't too much, and it's dependent on 'what your needs' are for >8GB. Gaming is going to be quite a feat on an HD 6670 so IF that's the purpose then 8GB + better GPU is a much wiser choice.

BTW,

I recommend CORSAIR Vengeance 99% of the time, quality RAM and low profile with XMP profile. And if u will get an aftermarket CPU cooler, low profile is the worry free remedy with perfect fit with any large cooler.
CORSAIR Vengeance 8GB (2 x 4GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1600

Vengeance Low Profile heat spreaders have a reduced height of 1.03" (26.25mm). They're designed for high-performance systems with extra-large CPU coolers, small form factor system builds, or any other space-constrained application where standard Vengeance memory might not fit.

Depends on what you're doing with the system. If you are loading large databases or spreadsheets (I mean huge), then 16 GB is reasonable. Otherwise 8 GB is plenty.
