Partition

Hello,
hi! can pls someone help, i am trying to make a partition on my HDD but it does not want. i have a 100G free space and i want to partition only 30. what could prevent the partition from going along?

Use the hardrive software that's available for free to set up partitions on your drive. I use maxblast 5.0, which works with seagate and maxtor drives. Windows 7 also allows you to change partitions without losing your files, but you'll have to do a search to find the settings. I've forgotten them. Someone else may answer this post.
