My Hard drive not working on my Asrock P67 Extreme 4

Hello,
I just build my first computer and every thing is going well until I started up my Bio's and my hard drive wasn't showing up. I checked to see if I plugged it in the wrong place, but everything seems to be in the right place. The SATA cords are plugged in to the right place. I have a Western Digital hard drive 500gb.

check that the sata port mode is set to achi not ide. also check that you plugged the power in. also if your looking for the faster ports there 3-0 and 3-1 not the m port those are marvel. the drive then should show up in the bios as boot hard drive.

Do you have both the data and power cords plugged in?
