M17x R1 CPU change wont pass POST

Hello

I had a Intel 2.0 Ghz Q9000 and just put in a 2.53 Ghz QX9300, i havent changed any settings but now my computer rarely passes POST and when it does Windows 7 will fail to start and the startup repair function will not open. i tried running a Pre-boot system assessment but received an error notice on the memory test stating "SYSTEM ERRORDRESS 00_02000000 ERROR CODE: 2000-0111 MSG: CPU 0 : Page fault exception occured"

Any ideas on what might be wrong or how to fix it?

The problem with these OEM system is that companies like Dell may not enable support for some processors on the board that you have. So first put the old cpus back in and see if the problem continues. Update to the latest Bios from Dell and then try it one more time. Otherwise the board may not support that processor.
