Advice,CPU, digital artist

Hi all.
To you the community...the people who really know whats up... I turn to you for advice.

I am a digital artist, I work on pretty big files, with many,many layers. Mainly Photoshop, Painter, Illustrator, some After Effects and Max
My current computer is just not cutting it (can you say 1 hour for a filter to run)...so I am in the market for something new.



SITUATION- Need new computer for digital art (big files many layers), not too worried about price of CPU

USE OF COMPUTER- First foremost Photoshop, Painter, Illustrator.....then games

OPTIONS-get a system now with sandy bridge...........or........wait for sandy bridge E

QUESTION- is sandy bridge plenty enough? Will waiting for "E" really be worth it for what I do?

I'll be glad to help. Start off by mention the specifications of your current computer so I know how much of an improvement it will be to answer your question. Secondly, I'll need a budget to work with.

Q6600 2.4GHz
4gig Ram
Vista 32bit
GTX470
XFX NFORCE 680I SLI MB INTEL motherboard
Drives...500GB,1TB,2TB
