Cat 3 connecting to cat5

Hello,
I have a late model FAX with a CAT3 connection and only have a CAT5 connection to plug into, is there an adaptor that is available to go from CAT3 to CAT5

What is a "late model FAX"? Is that a foreign car? :lol: A FAX needs a POTS (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Plain_old_telephone_service) connection.

There are cat3 to cat5 adapters but these are for voice applications only (such as a voice multiplexer). And I have not seen such adapters available for purchase in a retail store either. What are you trying to plug your fax machine into?
