USB 3.0 PCI-Express Card

Hi

Sharkoon 2-Port USB 3.0 PCI-Express Card

I have 2 USB HHDs attached. The card doesn't get picked up on booting windows 7, if I shut the pc down and reboot, it pops up fine.

Bit inconvenient rather than a problem... just wondered if there was anything specific going on?

Ok, found that this isn't a problem if I leave the pc plugged in once powered down - I tend to switch the plug off too.

Leave it plugged in or replace the CMOS battery?

with this info I would suspect that the sharkoon is using a capacitor or something instead of a flash ram to maintain its 'settings' which gets exhausted when you have the pc completely powered off. Unless your time and date are wrong in the bios when you first turn it on then your motherboard battery is probably fine.

Actually a second SATA drive often doesn't get picked up... so god knows...
