Blue Power On Button not working!!!

Does the power on button not coming on have a problem, or is it more serious? I have a PC Acer Aspire laptop that will not come on. The charger is working, but the battery seems to not be charging, and the machine will not come on when the blue power on button is pressed, even with the charger attached. Any suggestions?

try to unplug the actual battery and try if it works while on charge otherwise i think yu mite need a new charger or/and battery
