Experts help needed-RAM??

I am buyiing a gaming pc wiwhch i am buying the i5 2500K processor.

I wanted a 4gb RAM.

Should I go for a 2×2GB or 1×4GB RAM??
Also could you please tell me the names of some RAM's and their brands. I need good performance from the RAM.

Please help.

It's probably better to go for 2x2GB.That way you make use of the dual channel technology. Some of the best brands are Corsair, G.Skill and OCZ.Kingston is also well known but some people don't like their products

Neither, I would get at least a 2x4GB kit of DDR3-1600 CAS 8 or 9 matched set.

Frankly Gaming requirements aren't getting 'lower' quite the opposite, and since RAM is IMO dirt cheap now I'd be looking at a 4x4GB kit.

I will be going for a Biostar TZ77XE3 LGA 1155 Intel Z77 motherboard or the ASRock Z68 Extreme3 Gen3 LGA 1155 Intel Z68 HDMI SATA 6GB/S USB 3.0 ATX Intel Motherboard. Now which model from which brand should I buy my RAM from?????

Actually I am a bit short on funds. So all I would Like is a 2 x 2GB RAM for my PC.
